Privacy Policy

What this covers
This policy covers information we collect through The Womb — the app itself, not Good Story's other sites (like The Digital Pulpit, which has its own policy).
Information you give us
- Account info — your name and email, from sign-in.
- Content you upload (your “messages”) — audio recordings, documents, or links you provide, and the transcripts made from them.
- Profile interview answers — what you tell us in your Voice, Story, Service, and Audience Profile interviews, and the summaries generated from them.
- Brand assets — your logo, colors, and font choices.
- Billing information — handled directly by Stripe; we receive your subscription status, not your card number.
- Feedback you send us — through the in-app feedback button, including the page you were on when you sent it.
Information we generate
Content The Womb generates from your material — social posts, devotionals, newsletters, talk outlines, book chapters, graphics, and pages — is stored so you can access, edit, and publish it.
Your audience's information
If you publish a page or Brand Page and people sign up for your newsletter or reach out through a contact page, we store their name and email (or message) on your behalf, as infrastructure for your own account — not as our own customer list. This is personal information belonging to real people who aren't Womb customers themselves; you're responsible for using it in a way consistent with whatever you told them when they signed up. You can remove a subscriber from your dashboard at any time.
How your content is processed
To generate transcripts and content, we send your material to the third-party AI providers we use for transcription and writing, under our own agreements with them. We don't use your content to train our own AI models. Your files themselves are stored with Backblaze, our cloud storage provider.
Technical and usage information
We keep a simple view count on your published pages so you can see how many times each one has been opened — no per-visitor tracking or profiles behind it. We may use error-monitoring tools (like Sentry) to help us find and fix bugs; when active, these can capture technical details about an error (like which page it happened on), never the content of what you've written.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use this information
- To provide the service — generating, storing, and publishing your content.
- To process billing and manage your subscription.
- To respond to your feedback and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and working correctly.
We don't sell your information, or your audience's, to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus whatever period we need for legitimate business or legal reasons (like billing records). Deleting a message or a page from your dashboard deletes the underlying file and content. You can permanently delete your whole account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time — no need to email us.
Your rights
You can view, edit, or delete your content directly from your dashboard at any time, and download a full copy of everything you've made in The Womb, or permanently delete your account, from Settings. For anything that page doesn't cover, email us and we'll help directly.
Children
The Womb isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and let you know directly if a change is significant.
