What's new
What we have added lately, newest first.
Long recordings and big videos now upload
Files over 10 MB, which is most phone videos and any recording longer than about half an hour, could fail to upload. They now go through, with a percentage so you can see how far along it is. While you record, we ask your phone to keep the screen on.
Signs you out when you are away
If your device sits untouched for a while, we sign you out so no one else can read your writing. You get a two-minute warning first, and it never cuts off a recording, an upload or writing that has not saved. Choose how long, or turn it off for a device that is only yours, in Settings.
Easier to use with only a keyboard
Every page can now be used without a mouse. A clear ring shows where you are in every typing box, a "Skip to the main content" link appears when you press Tab, and windows keep you inside them until you close them.
Earlier versions of everything you make
Every time the words of a post, devotional, newsletter, outline or chapter change, by hand or when it is remade, the earlier words are kept. Open History to see what is different and put an earlier version back. A restore keeps what was there, so you can change your mind.
A month calendar in Publishing
See everything going out, gone out, or that didn't, laid out by day of the month. Drag something that is waiting to another day to move it, or select it to choose a new day and time.
Bring in a Google Doc or a YouTube channel
Paste a Google Doc link (shared as anyone with the link can view) and it comes in as text. Paste a YouTube channel and choose which of its recent videos to bring in.
Share a message as a page
Any message can have a page of its own, in your colours, that you can send to anyone. You choose which pieces show and add a short note. It is private until you publish it, and you can make it private again at any time.
One place for your book
Books now holds everything: write the chapters, format them for print and e-book, design the cover and plan the launch, with the same four steps at the top of every page. You can start a book to format straight from the chapters you wrote here. The side menu starts short and grows as you use the studio.
A tidier Settings page
Settings now has tabs: You, Plan and AI, Team, Writing and Connections. Choose the name you go by, add a photo, set your time zone, turn reminder emails off, and see your invoices.
More control over graphics and print covers
Move your words left, centre or right and up or down, and make them a little larger or smaller. Three new artwork designs, and Instagram Portrait, Pinterest and YouTube sizes. Book Covers now has a print check that tells you in plain words what a printer will look at, and cover artwork is brought up to print size.
Set up for who you are
Choose Christian or Christian leader, a business or team, or just you, and the studio starts with the right first steps and templates. Scripture suggestions are off unless you want them.
An easier first step
When you start, you can now record right there, paste words you already have, or try a sample message first. Upload, link and document are still there too.
Plans say what is in them
Every plan now includes the whole studio. Plans differ only in how much AI help comes each month, and Settings shows how much you have used.
Help from AI, in the places you write
Design options, title ideas, a back cover and artwork on Book Covers. A look for your brand. A plain-words read of your Analytics. Each is checked against your own words and always your choice to use.
Book Launch Kit
A dated launch plan, launch posts drawn from your chapters, three launch emails, and cover graphics sized for each place you will share them.
Book Covers
Twelve designed cover styles, colour sets and your own brand colours, your logo and imprint, the printer's own spine width, and a print-ready wrap as a PDF.
Try it without signing up
Paste something you have said and see what it makes, with no account.
Publishing, Audience Hub and teams
Approve, schedule and publish in one place. See who is engaged and tag groups. Invite a viewer, contributor or editor, with comments and review.
Analytics Studio and guest reviewers
Plain-words numbers for what you write and who reads it. Share a draft with someone for comments, no account needed.
